I purchased 8 benches - 4 for our house and 4 as house warming gifts for friends who relocated to the country.These benches were a breeze to put together.After thinking it over I decided to incorporate 2x6s in place of 2x4s where I could to prevent warping.2x6 lumber fits perfect into this construction.I've attached photos above - check 2x6 construction.the 2x4 braces below make for solid shake-free benches.I sanded and finished mine with three coats of Thompsons "Honey Gold" tint Watersealant.After this summer and winter in OK I'll report back on how well these held up.All construction so far has been 6 feet long.

You have to realize it's wood you're working with and prepare accordingly.Measure to get the most of each cut from the length wood you buy.I purchased #2 Douglas Fir - it's a bit stronger than framing lumber.

Review of Winsome Storage Bench

For the price this is a very good bargin and being it is made almost entirely of hardwood rather than pressboard makes it a double bonus. The only part that is not wood is the unseen back but it has the same finish as the rest of the bench.

Putting it together single handedly is a bit of a challenge and frankly I had to re-arrange the order of their instructions slightly. Although it comes with dowels you will want to use wood glue for best results and for a sturdy frame. I found that after I had it together and had all those hex screws tightened it was solid and did not wobble at all.

The finish is very close to the photo depicted which frankly was a relief and I feel comfortable sitting on it as it easily supports my weight. The underneath storage is roomy and why I bought it in the first place. I would buy this product again.

This is a very nice piece of furniture.The wood is real and it looks great in my house.I was skeptical about buying after reading the other reviews but my husband and I are good at "building" furniture.So we went ahead with it. A couple of the pieces were not made correctly.We were able to fix them but that doesn't help those who can't.I will be calling the toll free number on the front of the instructions and complaining because for the price - it should be perfect.

Colors and pattern are crisp and vivid.Weave is tight. The material is soft to the touch.We have not yet hung this hammock outside (still winter here) so we can not vouch for the product's resistance to weather and sunlight.
Definitely looking forward to using it and believe it will be much more comfortable and durable than the traditional "open weave" cotton rope hammocks.
Great buy but would be even better if a pillow were included for the price

Review of Home Alexander Sling Swivel Dining Chairs - Set of 2

I bought these in the store.They are sold in pairs and each chair comes with a set of hardware. When I went to put them together, there are supposed to be four bolts the same size and one slightly smaller.Mine were all the same size.I spent 10 minutes trying to get this bolt to go where it could not.Finally I figured it out, opened the other package (it did have the correct sizes), and used that one.So I was still out a bolt.However, there was a piece of paper with a phone number (but incorrect working hours).Finally got someone and explained to her exactly what the bolt looked like and where it went (the base). For some reason, they sent this one bolt UPS (I would have given them my work address had I known), but it didn't really matter as it was the wrong bolt, totally wrong size, shape and color.So, I call again, this time with the part number per my little instruction booklet.Different girl, still seems to not understand.Says she will send me that part # as well as a whole other hardware kit.I tell her that the one hardware kit had the wrong bolt in it, so that might not solve the problem.

Well, a few days later (quicker than UPS) I receive by regular mail, four more of the totally wrong bolts (same as before) and a hardware package, which luckily does contain the right bolt.

So other than that, I haven't had any problems with these chairs.They were easy to put together (if you have the right hardware) and comfortable.I don't know how well they would hold up for someone over 200 lbs to sit in them for any length of time. But they suit my purpose.

My only comment on this product is that I never received it !!I ordered it months ago to be sent to my old address.It never arrived and now that we've moved I guess I really won't see it -- IF it was ever sent in the first place.This is my first and only disappointment in dealing with Amazon (who's fault it really isn't.)

I ordered this item to cover a swing on my patio - for dust, not moisture as I live in the high desert.It is very well made, but so heavy I couldn't even lift it high enough to go up over the swing canopy - and I'm pretty strong - so I returned it.I do think it's a bit overpriced, but what isn't now?

I have a wooden swing and I needed something it could hang from.This frame does the trick.I have it sitting on dirt so the safety factor of slippage is nil.I've had it for one season and it stayed out in the elements at all times.Still looks great.
